The first forum of alternative tourism on the Balkans
The first forum on alternative tourism on the Balkans – Berovo, November 2009. Excerpt of the conclusions drawn: the border crossing Klepalo-Berovo, Republic of Macedonia – Bulgaria, which has been ready for more than two decades on the Macedonian side, with an asphalted road leading to it and a constructed building, is to be put in function, i.e. a working group has been formed which shall see to achieving the aforementioned final goal.
Macedonian MPs from this region, the Macedonian Agency for promotion and support of tourism, we shall undertake steps in the direction of enabling the border crossing Klepalo – Berovo, Macedonia - Bulgaria to be put in use. Once this border crossing is officially opened, Berovo and the wider region will be given more opportunities for rapid development not only of tourism, but in the other social spheres as well.
